Session: Tikun olam – the term, the concept and its acceptance

We will discuss two halachic passages and an haggadic one. The purpose is to show how the term of tikkun olam was invented and which concept lies behind the term. Then I will explore how the concept of tikkun olam inspires plots of different stories without being mentioned there.  I will analyse a  very vivid and entertaining story from the Palestinian Talmud and we will see how the dramatic plot implies self-reflection.
