Frima (Merphie) Bubis, was born and raised in Jerusalem, to a Modern- Orthodox family in the national religious community. After high-school she attended a Pre-Military Academy, and as part of her military service served in an Operations Room of The Civil Administration in the West Bank, from January 2013 till March 2015. After her discharge she joined Breaking the Silence as a testifier, to assume the role of the Jewish Diaspora Coordinator. Merphie has attended progressive Jewish study programs in Jerusalem and currently lives in Jaffa.

Sessionsbeskrivning: A presentation by Frima Bubis, a former IDF soldier who served in the Civil Administration in the West Bank, which will address the reality of the occupation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, through the testimonies of soldiers who have served there. Breaking the Silence is an organization of veterans who have served in the occupied territories from the onset of the Second Intifada to date. Its aim is to expose the public to the high moral toll of military control over a civilian population.
